Xing Yi Quan Kung Fu & Basic Self Defense Skills

Available in Western MA (Northampton & East St. Studios 47 East. St. Hadley) and New York City (Ripley Grier Studios 305 W. 38th St. Manhattan) by appointment, taught by Dan Reck with seminars by Dixon Fung.

Classes are private & semi-private in the vein of personal training which is traditional in Chinese martial arts and the best way to learn, classes are sometimes held outdoors which is part of the training method to train energy & resistance to the elements.

Some contact is needed for proper training but its usually light, hard contact is not required unless the student is training for full contact competition, and we always aim to train safely. Boxing gloves are used mostly in the basic skills phase or when doing harder contact

An affordable option while still getting personalized training in a small group of 1-5 people, available in Northampton/Hadley MA & NYC

*Recommended class time to make fast progress is at least 2 hours per week or 8 hours per month
